Dr Wong Wei Jin

Dr. Wong Wei Jin is a Consultant General Surgeon and Upper Gastrointestinal (UGI) Surgeon at University of Malaya Medical Centre (UMMC). He is also a Senior Lecturer with the Department of Surgery, Faculty of Medicine, Universiti Malaya. He obtained his Doctor of Medicine (MD) from Dalhousie University, Canada, and Master of Surgery from Universiti Malaya. Dr. Wong has undergone advanced fellowship training in Upper GI Surgery, including overseas exposure in Taiwan and Japan. His clinical interests include oesophagogastric surgery, minimally invasive surgery, bariatric and metabolic surgery, and complex upper gastrointestinal conditions. He is actively involved in surgical education, research, and the advancement of UGI surgical care in Malaysia.
