Prof DrAndee DzulkarnaenZakaria

A senior medical lecturer and consultant colorectal surgeon at the School of Medical Sciences, Universiti Sains Malaysia and Hospital Universiti Sains Malaysia. He graduated with a Doctor in Medicine degree from Universiti Sains Malaysia. This is followed by a continuation to the Master of Medicine (Surgery) also from the same university. Then, he is an international fellow who obtained training in Colorectal Surgery from the Japan Council of Medical Training as well as a Fellowship and Diploma in Minimal Access Surgery from the World Association of Laparoscopic Surgeon, India. He continued his training in Fellowship in Robotic & Advanced Laparoscopic Colorectal Surgery from Korea University Medical Center under Professor Seon-Hahn Kim. His interest and tendency are towards surgeries focusing on endo-laparoscopy and minimally invasive gastrointestinal pathology and diseases, which initiates his move to be involved in several types of research and writing relating to such areas.
